Baisong Liu visiting us: how performing arts can help build better robot narrative?

Baisong Liu is a PhD researcher from TU Einhoven, at the intersection of HCI, design, and robotics, specializing in persuasive social robots for healthcare.

He is visiting us this month, to explore how knowledge of performance artists can connect to and support the design of more engaging and socially effective robotic behaviours. The results are intended for developing long-term human-robot interaction for mental healthcare.

Baisong brings an interdisciplinary lens to developing user-centered design tools and research methodologies for advanced social robotic applications. His work bridges technical robot development, human-centered research, and design practice—creating tools and methods that make advanced robotic applications more accessible to cross-disciplinary teams of researchers and designers.
