
The SocialMinds lab is heading to IEEE/ACM HRI'26 in Scotland
From the 16th to the 19th of March, the international conference on Human-Robot Interaction takes place in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the SocialMinds team will be there in force: Sara Cooper, Bartomeu Pou, Ferran Gebelli, Raquel Ros and Séverin Lemaignan will be presenting the lab’s on-going research.
- Séverin will present on the 18th in the alt.HRI track, with a position paper on humanoid robots and responsible robotics (is it a contradiction? …read the paper: Responsible Humanoids: A Contradiction in Terms? );
- Tomeu will present a poster on our toolkit for social signal detection and interpretation, part of the EMOROBCARE project;
- Sara, Raquel and Tomeu will have Emy, our robot for autistic children, on show! read more about it here: EMY: Supporting Autism Therapy with a Socially Assistive Robot
The team will also take part to several workshop:
- the Vizij workshop, presenting how Emy’s head was created, and how robot procedural faces can be integrated into complex interactive robots;
- Ferran and Raquel will be presenting at the workshop on Explanability, presenting Ferran’s PhD work.
