The SocialMinds Lab provides a multi-purposed physical environment designed for multi-disciplinary research in human-AI interaction.

Our facilities feature a large projection wall for immersive virtual reality experiments, a motion-tracking system, and a small experimental living space, allowing for the development of a range of social scenarios.

Complementing this space is our robotics workshop and fablab (including a 3D printer and laser cutter, a small CNC machine, a tooling for electronics assembly), where we design and maintain a diverse fleet of social robots.

The lab owns both small robots (four Nao robots, five Reach Mini, ePuck robots) and medium-size interactive robots (one mobile manipulator). We also build our own robots, such as Emy, our companion robot for autistic children.

Beyond the physical infrastructure, our lab also include its own mini-GPU cluster (featuring 2x RTX6000 Blackwell 96GB), access to the high-performance IIIA cluster, a complete CI/CD pipeline, and a range of open-source datasets and code repositories.
