I’m a robotics software and biomedical engineer, who loves to research how to improve human-robot interaction and make user-friendly social robots, especially for healthcare and assistive domain. Right now I am a social robotics researcher at IIIA-CSIC, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of the Spanish National Research Council.

Through my career I have worked in project management, both for company and european projects, that aimed to bring social robots into the field, including homes of older adults, hospitals, care-homes, and education. In the past I have mainly worked in industry, at PAL Robotics (Spain) and Honda Research Institute (Japan) with robots like Haru, TIAGO and ARI. My long-term goal is to continue using co-design to increase social robot acceptability and facilitate their adoption!
